I get confused over counting how old the puppies are. Some people seem to tell me to count their day of birth as day 1 and so yesterday would have been 14, but as far as I can see the day of birth is day 0 and so today is their two week birthday. I\u2019m going to be singing to them at the appropriate times throughout the day and eating a cake on their behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megan is feeling very down. I don\u2019t know how she does it, but she has hurt the pads on both of her front paws. Actually, I do know how she does it. She throws herself into a game of ball with such enthusiasm that she forgets to take care of herself in the process. I think she may have tried one or two power slides on the ice. She has had them bathed in an antiseptic bath and my Mistress is going to check them again later to make sure she doesn\u2019t need a trip to the vet. The worst is that she could still go for a walk wearing the boots my Mistress bought for her, if only she hadn\u2019t eaten one of them! My Mistress has ordered her another pair but they won\u2019t be here for a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that we have some open eyes, what is funny is that at times the puppies seem to be sleeping with them open. It\u2019s as though they don\u2019t want to close them in case they don\u2019t work anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve started my campaign for a Christmas tree just for the puppies. Once my Mistress\u2019s bed moves next weekend we will be able to get to the decorations cupboard. There is the small matter of my Mistress not having enough time and saying she isn\u2019t really in a festive mood, but they are minor problems that I am sure can be overcome one way or another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
