It\u2019s Aristotle. He isn\u2019t going to be a stud dog. To be honest, that\u2019s the least of his concerns. He heard from the vet yesterday following his scan and he definitely has elbow dysplasia. It all sounds very complicated with deformed joints and defects in upper bones. He said it was something to do with the humerus, but I said I couldn\u2019t see it was a laughing matter. Anyway, it means that he and I make a good pair. We\u2019ll never be mountaineers or walk the coast path of Great Britain. We\u2019ll never do agility or take up long distance running. However, it does mean we\u2019re well matched to be best buddies and that\u2019s all that really counts. I\u2019ve told him that he really must speak up when his leg is hurting as I\u2019m sure our Mistress will give him something to ease the pain and I\u2019ll lay off chasing him all round the office. I know my Mistress loves him just the way he is, so we\u2019ll be ok. However, on top of his bad news he now has to face castration. I think that\u2019s all too much for one little dog to have to take in in one go. The whole castration thing could have waited until he\u2019d got over his first piece of bad news. He\u2019s so lovely though. He hasn\u2019t complained at all. He\u2019s just asked if I\u2019ll be there to hold his paw when he gets worried. I\u2019ll do my best. He\u2019s my best friend, well after my Mistress that is!<\/p>\n
Megan has hurt her paw too. We think she\u2019s sprained a toe, but if it isn\u2019t better by next week she\u2019s going to have an x-ray in case she\u2019s broken it. It means she\u2019s got an excuse to sit around for a few days and be waited on paw and paw and she says she is planning to make the most of it. She said it very nicely though, so I think she may be getting over her hormonal mood swings.<\/p>\n
