Today is going to be a long day. I don\u2019t usually have so much time on my own. Yesterday I was on my own in the morning, but then a friend came to see me for the afternoon. Today the same friend is going to come and see me for a short while, but I will have to twiddle my paws for quite a long time. It isn\u2019t so bad. I tend to go back to bed and have a sleep until about 11 and then potter round and do a bit of reading. There are one or two things I want to try to get done while it\u2019s quiet but relaxation always seems to come higher up the list than working. We\u2019ve started plotting my Mistress\u2019s new book and I said I\u2019d do some of the research for her while she\u2019s away. I\u2019m wishing now that I hadn\u2019t opened my mouth. The duvet is nice and warm and I can\u2019t reach the switch to turn the central heating on so the house is a bit cold. It wouldn\u2019t be so bad if the weather hadn\u2019t turned cold. I\u2019m in charge of looking after my Mistress\u2019s seedlings too and I\u2019m worried they may be dead before she comes back. I\u2019ve tried breathing on them to warm them up, but I don\u2019t want to overdo it. I don\u2019t want to be accused of being the sort of dog that talks to plants.<\/p>\n
I am a little bit jealous today if truth be known. The girls don\u2019t have to be on the stand at Discover Dogs so I think my Mistress is taking them to Bradgate Park, which is her favourite place in the whole world. I know they will like it. I can\u2019t remember if they have to stay on the lead, which to be honest with the deer would probably be wise, but it is definitely going to be fun.<\/p>\n
