I\u2019m in the fish tank again (the dog equivalent of a human being in the dog house!). There are clean sheets on my Mistress\u2019s bed, or rather should I say there were clean sheets on my Mistress\u2019s bed. They are her favourite ones, a big picture of snoopy on a white background. It seems I may have forgotten to wipe my feet when I came in from the garden yesterday and when my Mistress went up to bed she found the duvet covered in muddy paw prints and to be fair lumps of damp mud. I pointed out that she should be grateful that I\u2019d only done it on her side of the bed, but she didn\u2019t seem to think that was an appropriate comment in the circumstances. I did say I\u2019d change them for her if she really wanted me to, but I do have some difficulty getting the duvet into the cover without ending up inside the cover myself.<\/p>\n
My Mistress is actually starting to believe that our new house will be inhabitable shortly. Probably a good job as we have arranged the date for moving in. She has been discussing with me the repairs that are required to the grass at the house we are leaving. It appears that it is principally my fault that some sections of the grass now resemble a quagmire. The proposal is that for the whole of the month of March, I only go outside on a lead so that she can sow some grass seed and hope that it has the opportunity to grow. Now I Can see her logic, but frankly I don\u2019t think as proposals go it is going to be a whole lot of fun, not for me anyway. I\u2019m sure the birds will have a field day eating all the grass seed.<\/p>\n
