I am over a fifth of the way towards my Twitter target for the year. So far I have 23 twits following me. I know it\u2019s not many, but for a little known dog it is a start. I find myself agonising over what to say to my beloved followers, almost as much as I agonise over what to say to all of you. It\u2019s interesting because then you get tweets from some of the real celebrities and they are little more than mangled gibberish. I don\u2019t think John Cleese has put together a worthwhile sentence since I started following him.<\/p>\n
The scary thing about Twitter is that you can follow complete strangers and feel as though you are getting to know them, without them having a clue who you are. In the old days that was called stalking. This of course is particularly the case with British Telecom who are still following me, despite my not having mentioned them again. I did think about cheating to get followers by day by day mentioning different organisation that might be equally paranoid and seeing how many of them joined in the general stalking of \u2018the real alfie dog\u2019. I\u2019ve been meaning to find out who got there first and labelled themselves \u2018Alfie Dog\u2019 but inevitably it would be a disappointing experience to find out.<\/p>\n
Although our new house is coming together, it still has no staircases. It is supposed to have one at the front and then a separate little one at the back of the house to get up to my office. My Mistress is starting to worry, which is never a pretty sight. The installation of the wardrobes is now booked and they can\u2019t do that if there\u2019s no staircase. Mind you, we are hoping to move in quite soon and my Mistress will have to have a bed downstairs if it stays like this!<\/p>\n
