Well here in England it\u2019s Christmas Eve and depending on what time you are reading this, it is possible that Santa has already begun his rounds. I wonder who the little boy or girl is that lives nearest to the International Dateline and whether they realise they are first on Santa\u2019s list. I suppose developments in technology have been essential for Santa to keep up with the ever growing population, although he may not have to bother calling at the houses of the children that don\u2019t believe in him. If you think about it the elves must have an huge administrative nightmare keeping up with all the paperwork of births around the world. Given what an efficient job they do, I wonder if any of them are available to run some of our Government departments, such as the one that grits the roads in winter. I don\u2019t think we\u2019re even on their map.<\/p>\n
In the sense that there will still be snow on the ground, it looks as though we are in for a white Christmas. However in the betting sense of the description I think snow has to actually fall on Christmas Day on the weather centre in London. It will be interesting to see if it happens. It\u2019s the most likely it has been for a very long time.<\/p>\n
I was pleased to see our Tesco\u2019s delivery arriving yesterday. At least one thing is certain, we aren\u2019t going to be going hungry over Christmas. It makes you think of all those who don\u2019t have enough eat and realise that how much responsibility there is on those of us with plenty to help those without. I\u2019m starting in a very small way but putting some food out for the birds. I\u2019m leaving it to my Master and Mistress to work out what they should be doing to help the humans that are hungry. I did read that Prince William had slept out on the street\u2019s of London one night recently to help draw attention to the plight of the homeless and I say it makes you proud to think he\u2019s our future king and see that he is taking a leaf out of the book of the King whose birthday we celebrate at Christmas.<\/p>\n
