Just in case you were thinking of sending me a card, it\u2019s my birthday in another twelve days. Some people think that the number 13 is unlucky, but it was certainly lucky for me when I was born on it. The sad part is that I\u2019m going to be celebrating my birthday in kennels and won\u2019t see my Mistress until the following day. It wouldn\u2019t feel so bad if I didn\u2019t know that Shadow would be with them even though I won\u2019t. Oh well, I guess it can\u2019t be helped.<\/p>\n
The other exciting thought is that in theory, our new house will be finished next month. Of course the difference between theory and practice may be a few weeks work, but it\u2019s exciting to think we are almost at the original planned completion date. We never thought that we\u2019d be moving in for Christmas, so there isn\u2019t a major disappointment and as my Mistress has said, if the job is worth doing, it\u2019s worth doing properly. With my birthday and Christmas, the time will soon fly by and we\u2019ll be moving in before we know it. The main hope is that we can be there before any snowy weather means we can\u2019t get off the drive here. At least if we can park the car up there again we won\u2019t risk being totally snowed in again.<\/p>\n
I jumped up the other day in my excitement that my Mistress had come home. I accidentally caught my tooth on her knuckle. She took it very well as she mopped up the blood, but the bruising has meant that her knuckle has been quite painful for a few days. I ought to know better, but I do still get so excited to see her.<\/p>\n
