Oh bother, our November walking plans have gone very wrong. Mum has shingles. She really hasn\u2019t felt like walking for the last couple of days and said she will have to see later today. It\u2019s a good job Dad is home. He and I went for a lovely sunny walk without Mum yesterday afternoon. It was fun and I skipped along as normal, but I do miss her when she\u2019s not there. I\u2019m hoping that the tablets the doctor has given her will help and that she will be coming out to play with me again very soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s going to be a busy morning here today. We have the architect here to do a survey, so that we can do some changes to the back of the house. At the same time, the new cooker is being delivered and fitted. Mum would really like to just stay in bed, but I guess that\u2019s not going to be happening. I offered to show everyone around, but Mum said that either she or Dad would need to help and answer questions. I could do it all, I\u2019m sure I could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is a tough choice as to where to sit in the house at the moment. Do we sit with Mum, as that\u2019s our job and we are supposed to do it to the best of our ability? Or, do we sit in the kitchen where Dad is busy turning apples into stewed apple for freezing? I really really like the thought of being in the kitchen, but as a working dog, I simply can\u2019t overcome my instinct to be with Mum in case she says I need to do something. Honestly, I even make that choice over the opportunity for more food. Sometimes instincts can be very annoying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
