Feeling glum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re all feeling glum with Dad having gone away again. The house is a much happier place when he\u2019s around. I know he\u2019ll be back soon, but I wish he didn\u2019t have to go away at all. Aristotle\u2019s eye is still hurting him, which isn\u2019t helping. It\u2019s not as bad as it was but it certainly isn\u2019t better yet. He\u2019s still being a goody four paws and letting Mum put the cream in his eye without any complaint at all. The vets think he\u2019s a model patient, but then they don\u2019t have to live with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday\u2019s walk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mum and I did go out for or first October walk yesterday. It was horribly windy weather, which meant we could hardly hear each other as we chatted away. To be fair, Mum did most of the talking, but then she usually does. She also tried to listen to an audio book for some of the way, but that\u2019s hard through ear muffs to keep the wind out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, yesterday\u2019s was the local circuit from the house. It turns out that is 2.27 miles. Mum doesn\u2019t like taking me on that one very often, because parts of it are on the road or along the side of the road, and I\u2019m not really keen on traffic. Being a Saturday, yesterday was quite quiet, so it was ok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan for today<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today Mum wants to catch up on some of the little jobs around the house and in the garden. We are planning to go out for a walk later but haven\u2019t decided where. Mum says we might just do the other local one, which is along the lane opposite as her knees are hurting a bit so she doesn\u2019t want to do one on rough ground. She\u2019s also hoping that some of the other walks will have fewer people around on a weekday. We\u2019ve got lots of different places planned. I just keep asking if we can go back to the race course as I liked it there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
