The car is not a dog. I know you know that, and I know that, but I\u2019m worried about Mum. Having given the car a name she now seems to want to call it to \u2018come\u2019 when she\u2019s ready to go out. We don\u2019t yet have a driverless car. We may never have a driverless car. If \u2018Bruno\u2019 starts responding to her calls I\u2019m going to become seriously worried. It\u2019s a bit like worrying you might be replaced by a robot. Mind you, even machines can malfunction in the heat so I probably shouldn\u2019t worry too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current weather is all the evidence I need of why our breed is not suited to living in hot countries. We are all counting down the hours to Tuesday next week when we can expect to be able to spend the day outdoors again. It really is very trying dealing with the current weather. I\u2019m talking to Mum about changes she might like to consider making around the house. I tried to suggest a marble floor in the hall. Apparently, there are at least two problems with that. Firstly I don\u2019t have enough pocket money to pay for it. Secondly, neither Aristotle or Shadow would cope trying to walk on a slippery surface. I suggested that Mum should see if she could come up with a better idea that would suit all of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aristotle is worrying about the garden. It isn\u2019t just his own vegetables and herbs he\u2019s concerned about. Dad asked him to help look after the apple trees while he\u2019s away. Two of the young trees are looking quite sorry for themselves and Dad\u2019s only been gone a couple of days. Ari is worried that by the time Dad comes back he\u2019ll have lost them altogether. I\u2019ve offered to lend a paw as anything that produces extra food I can eat has to be important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
