The birds are taking a self service approach to their food. It\u2019s probably a mistake, but Mum keeps the bird food in the greenhouse so that it\u2019s handy when she needs to put it out. Some of it is in plastic tubs and some of it isn\u2019t. It\u2019s the \u2018isn\u2019t\u2019 that has become the problem. Someone, and of course it might have been the squirrel, had been into the greenhouse and torn a hole in the bag of dried meal worms. Ari goes to open the greenhouse door in a morning so that it doesn\u2019t get too hot and that has made it easy for one or other of the wildlife to sneak in to get some food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We think it\u2019s a protest as Mum hasn\u2019t been putting their food out regularly. To be fair, we\u2019d do the same thing with our own food if the need arose \u2013 or if we thought we could get away with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We think we\u2019re counting down to Dad coming home on Friday, but he\u2019s still ill so we just don\u2019t know at the moment. I\u2019m worrying about him and wish I was there to look after him. Mind you, I\u2019ve got my paws full trying to look after Mum, although Ari was helping yesterday. Mum has asked if we could do more of looking after Shadow, but she gets crotchety with us when we try to make her do things she doesn\u2019t want to do, so it\u2019s no fun. At least when we show concern for Mum she thanks us for being such good dogs. Shadow just snaps at us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mind you, Shadow will be the first in the queue to welcome Dad and she\u2019ll be all sweetness and light to him. She saves her grumpy side for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
