Tower Bridge is London’s only major dog-friendly attraction, welcoming well behaved dogs to explore the historic landmark with their owners. Of course, keeping them on a lead is required but you can freely roam the historic towers, walk across the glass floor and visit the Victorian engine rooms.

Ludlow Castle – Ludlow

If you are near Shropshire, a visit to the mediaeval site of Ludlow Castle is a must! The Castle is the home to Ludlow’s major festivals throughout the year so you’ll never run short of things to do, making it the perfect day out for the whole family. Of course, don’t forget your four legged friends as dogs are welcome if they are kept on the lead. Even being allowed up to the highest tower if they can make it up the stairs, your dog is bound to love the freedom and the stunning countryside grounds.

Tatton Park – Tatton

With things to do for all age groups, there’s no better place to spend a nice Summer’s day. Tatton Park welcomes dogs in the parkland, farm and stable yard outdoor area under close control but they are unable to go inside the gardens, play area, mansion, old hall, shops and swim in the Meres. To take dog friendly one step further, there is actually a dedicated dog festival held in June. The festival is filled with meetups, dog shows and tips from the experts!

Lake Windermere – Lake District

At 10.5 miles long, Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England and is a popular spot for those exploring the Lake District. Whether you choose to hire a boat, ride a bike, try some watersports or head off on a hike, the outdoor spot is a great way to get away from the stress of everyday life. The area is incredibly dog friendly and you will see plenty of pets splashing around as they enjoy the water.

Attadale Gardens – Scotland

The impressive architecture of Attadale House will leave you feeling like you’re in a movie set as you admire the 17th century building and well kept grounds. From the oriental Japanese gardens to the tropical conservatory, there’s so much to see as you head through the site. Dogs are welcomed in the gardens if they are kept on short leads so pack a picnic and bring the whole family for a relaxing day in the stunning surroundings.

Allan Bank – Ambleside

Allan Bank is incredibly welcoming to dogs both inside and out, appreciating how much difference a four legged companion can make to your day. Well behaved dogs are permitted inside and out (even muddy ones!) but keep an eye out for the signage as there may be restrictions in woodland or farmland at sensitive times of year, such as during lambing season.

The other places they include are:

Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens

Berwick Museum and Art Gallery

Warkworth Castle

Bolam Lake

Aldborough Roman Site

That’s the list from the lovely people at Stelrad.
