When asked how high up their dog is on their list of priorities, 82%<\/strong> of 228 dog owners<\/em> responded that they\u2019d give up a job opportunity<\/strong> for their pup, and 78%<\/strong> of respondents revealed that they\u2019d end their relationship<\/strong> for their dog.<\/p>
When it comes to romance, it seems the vast majority of people prefer the pure, wholesome love of a dog to the excitement of a new relationship:<\/p>
64%<\/strong> of people said they\u2019d rather kiss their dog than their partner. <\/p>
42% <\/strong>prefer to share their bed with their dog than their partner, <\/p>
45%<\/strong> of people spend more money on their dog than their partner every month, and a whopping <\/p>
92% of people would rather stay in with their dog<\/strong> than go on a first date. <\/p>
When browsing a dating site, 81%<\/strong> of people would be more likely to swipe right on a photo that included a dog.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
(I asked Mum what that last point meant and she said she didn\u2019t use dating sites either so didn\u2019t really know. She thinks it might mean that people are more interested in potential dates who have a picture including a dog.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
