The battle rages between Mum and the moths. I thought Mum had the upper hand, but then she went upstairs a few hours later to find the moths laughing at her. She spent some of yesterday morning putting her clothes in bags and putting them in the freezer. To someone who doesn\u2019t know what is going on that might appear a strange habit. I\u2019m sure she knows what she\u2019s doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The good news was that we spent yesterday afternoon catching up on some of the things that we were supposed to be doing in the garden on Sunday. The rose arches are built and in place. Parts of it were a two person job and I have to say that one person and three dogs only seemed to make matters worse rather than better. Mum seemed very concerned that she was about to drop pieces of the arch onto Shadow. Ari and I had the good sense to stay out of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was one disappointing moment. Mum unearthed an ancient apple while mowing the grass. I was thrilled as I got to it before Aristotle. I took it off to a more comfortable spot, but Mum doesn\u2019t miss a thing. She confiscated it and said it would have made me ill. What a spoilsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m not going to be able to spend so much time waving to the sheep as their human has repaired her side of the fence after the storm damage. I did bark madly at her when she came to fix it, but Mum called me away and used that tone of voice I don\u2019t disobey. I shall still be able to call to them and hear them bleating but I shan\u2019t see the lambs when they\u2019re born now, which is a shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
