I have been upstaged by a seven year old. It seems that jumping all over my master to tell him I\u2019m glad he\u2019s home is not a patch on making a \u2018Welcome home\u2019 card. I suppose you can\u2019t keep my jumping in a draw to look at again in the future, but I was just as pleased to see him. I really must improve my drawing skills so that I can impress him next time he\u2019s been away.<\/p>\n
In a bit of disaster yesterday morning, the kitchen sink was blocked, which my Mistress did not realise until she had washed away a gone off pint of milk that proceeded to seep out into the kitchen cupboard while her back was turned. She was none too thrilled at having to empty everything out of the cupboard and wash it, let alone having to take the u bend off the sink to clear the blockage. I was banned from the kitchen while all this was in progress, although it may also have had something to do with rifling through the bin last night for the rest of their tea. As she busily cleared it all up, she reminded me of the old adage \u2018it\u2019s no use crying over split milk\u2019, although she said it through gritted teeth, while on her hands and knees, mopping up the mess. When I read the headline \u2018Duffy clears up at Brits\u2019 I wondered whether they had had a similar problem and whether it was the day for flooded cupboards.<\/p>\n
Not content with stripping wallpaper at weekends, they have now started doing it on weekdays as well. What is a dog to do to get them to understand it is not a pastime I enjoy? It\u2019s all very well them suggesting I can sit and read a book, but I want a go with the steamer. I want the satisfaction of pulling off great strips of wallpaper, but I just can\u2019t get my paws round it.<\/p>\n
