We\u2019re on holiday. I can\u2019t remember the last time I could say that. It\u2019s a very different holiday than the ones I had when I was young, but it\u2019s a holiday none the less. If you know Mum, the chance of her doing nothing is very slim. Today\u2019s holiday plan at the moment is to do exactly that. I give her at most a couple of hours before the novelty of that wears off. If Alfie were still around, he\u2019d be opening a book on whether she would opt to do some fencing, the cleaning or put up the rest of the curtain poles. I\u2019m not really a gambling dog, but if the weather is good, my guess is the fencing will be top of the jobs pile. Anything to spoil my fun <\/s>keep me safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\nExciting times<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
I know it\u2019s still a long way off but I did get very excited yesterday. It seems our Club is starting to plan for some fun days next year. Oh I\u2019ve missed seeing my friends. I just cant wait to see everyone and have a good romp. I\u2019m still pretty fast even though I\u2019m getting older. I suppose there will be some young things out there ready to outrun me, but I\u2019ll give it my best. I asked Mum if we could start getting some practice in for the games so I\u2019m ready to compete. I suggested we could have lots of rounds of biscuit catch, but oddly Mum said that I was eating quite enough already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you plan Christmas Day what\u2019s the first thing you think about? Turkey, obviously, but after that? Mum and Dad have their Christmas Day planned and it wasn\u2019t what I expected. They are going to sit on the settee and watch back to back Paddington DVDs. I\u2019m not averse to watching a movie with them, but it wasn\u2019t what I was expecting to happen on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
