Today Granny and Granddad are celebrating being married for 60 years. We all wish we were there to give them our love and licks and help them celebrate. Mum will be able to see them and give them all our love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have a life expectancy of around thirteen years. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be married for that long. They didn\u2019t get married young either. Granddad was already 35 when he got married, so he\u2019s really rather old now. Anyway, a very happy anniversary to you both and we hope you like your present. I can\u2019t tell you what we got for them as they won\u2019t have had it yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know there are still a few days to go but we\u2019re all getting excited about Mum coming to see us next Monday. She has asked how we\u2019re doing for food and if there is anything we need. She was thinking in terms of Shadow\u2019s medication and our bedtime biscuits, but I took the opportunity to ask if she could possibly call at the butcher\u2019s and bring me some steak. Oddly, she said no. I wish I was going back with her afterwards. I\u2019m her sidekick. I should be there. Oh I know she said at Shadow\u2019s age it was more important that she didn\u2019t have to stay in kennels too long, but I don\u2019t feel like being fair and logical about it. I just want to be with her. Patience is not a virtue our breed is known for. I am definitely true to type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where Mama Susie lives they\u2019ve had lots of hail and rain. I couldn’t believe some of the pictures she posted. She lives quite near Dad. He said the lake nearby flooded too. We\u2019re more worried about some of our friends in America whose house is very close to one of the current fires. They\u2019ve had to evacuate and it must be very scary for them. We\u2019d like to send them all our love and hope everything will be ok. It does make us realise how lucky we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
