I\u2019m writing out a hundred times I must not bark in class. Strictly speaking it\u2019s not in class. We dealt with that one years ago. It\u2019s more all the time. I\u2019m a bit edgy with all the changes. I said she should excuse me as I\u2019m only picking up on how Mum\u2019s feeling. She was not sympathetic to my argument. She said she thought we\u2019d got past the whole bark if the phone rings, bark if the doorbell goes, bark for the sake of barking \u2013 thing. To be fair, we had. The day before yesterday Mum was so stressed that she barked back, well, she shouted anyway. Yesterday she remembered she was dealing with an Entlebucher. We just love an argument. Instead, she gave me the silent treatment. Nothing annoys us more than getting no response. It worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterday we hit the point in selling the house that there is no way back. Mum has dashed all my lingering hopes that my bed could stay in exactly the same position and I didn’t need to pack the rest of my toys. I am excited about our new house and garden. I did really like it when I went, but I\u2019m not looking forward to the bit in the middle, where I have to be apart from Mum. She\u2019s promised everything will be fine, but I worry. I\u2019m bound to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\u2019s told me I\u2019m in charge of the other two and need to look after them. It\u2019s a big job, but I guess I can do that. Ari doesn\u2019t think he needs looking after, but he would say that wouldn\u2019t he? Shadow on the other paw is starting to recognise that she does need help with some things. She\u2019s pretty old by our breed\u2019s standards. She just seems young in our house as Alfie lived to be so old. On the whole she\u2019s doing very well and it\u2019s easy to forget she\u2019ll be 12 and a half in under a month\u2019s time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
