I ended up in a big discussion with Mum yesterday about my office beds. It didn\u2019t go well. Mum and Dad are tidying the house up so they can sell it. Mum seems to think that means it needs to be less cluttered. The conversation went something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cWilma, which of the office beds can I put away?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cNone of them, obvs!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cHow can you need three beds in one room?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cBecause there are three of us, doh!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That was where it started to go downhill. Mum told me off for saying \u2018obvs\u2019 as I was being rude and she said the \u2018doh\u2019 was the final straw. I tried again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cBecause there are three of us, me, Shadow and Ari. That\u2019s only one bed each.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cShadow can\u2019t get up the stairs to the office, she doesn\u2019t need a bed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me \u2013 sighing heavily: \u201cBecause I like different beds for different things. The one in the window means I can look outside. The chair is my favourite for when I really want to sleep and the one under your desk when I want to be close to you \u2013 and Ari likes that one too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sadly, Mum wasn\u2019t having any of it. Now one of us has to break it to Ari that it\u2019s his favourite that\u2019s going into storage and I\u2019ve saved the two I use most often. He\u2019s a laid back kind of guy, he\u2019d want me to be happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next complication is that Mum has asked me to stop putting my nose on the window now that she\u2019s cleaned it. Quite honestly if she\u2019d have wanted that to happen she should have taken the bed by the window away. How can I stop myself when I\u2019m squirrel watching? It just happens. Anyway, I\u2019m sure they aren\u2019t all my nose marks. Some of them must be Aristotle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
