Well it seems Shadow is still howling \u2013 just not here. Mum has forgotten to send Shadow and Ari\u2019s vitamins with them so had to drop them off at the kennels. Our house has been ridiculously quiet – the kennels has not. Mum says it\u2019s too quiet, but I don\u2019t think she really misses being woken at 5 in the morning by Shadow wanting to go out. I\u2019m finding the quiet weird. I\u2019ve run around the house looking for everyone and they aren\u2019t there. I was in big trouble for doing that whole top dog thing and peeing on the carpet in Shadow\u2019s room. I don\u2019t normally go in there so I wasn\u2019t going to miss the opportunity of making a point. Mum was not best pleased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well as you can imagine, my first job today involves the carpet cleaner and the carpet in Shadow\u2019s room. Mum said she has planned to clean it at some point soon and Shadow being out of the way for a few days gave a good opportunity. After that I\u2019m thinking of putting my paws up. Mum did write a list out of jobs needing doing but I\u2019m guessing she isn\u2019t going to put my name down against all of them. I could be wrong. This is where being a working breed can be a pain. Any argument on my part that I shouldn\u2019t have to do things like that is wasted. I wouldn\u2019t want to be a toy breed, but there are days when having \u2018working\u2019 in the title of your group comes with downsides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the bright side, if the weather is reasonable we might spend some more time outside. Mum did say I could help get the garden furniture out. In that instance I\u2019m hoping helping means running around in circles and offering Mum some encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
