It would have been his birthday today. I thought I\u2019d bring you a Friday flashback with a difference. Here are pictures from each of Alfie\u2019s years of life with us. He was such a special boy. The rest of us try to live up to his ideals but we can\u2019t always manage it. Actually, if I\u2019m being honest, I don\u2019t think Shadow tries very hard to do that. Shadow is her own dog and nothing gets in her way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2005-2010-remembering-alfie-until-he-was-five\">2005 \u2013 2010 remembering Alfie until he was five<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alfie\u2019s first couple of years were spent with Mum and Dad living in Belgium. He moved with them to England in January 2008 when he was about the 10<sup>th<\/sup> of our breed in the UK. He was such an important part of my growing up. Alfie was also very generous in sharing Mum with me and never complained. He let me have the best of everything and always waited until I\u2019d chosen before he stepped in\u2026 except with ice cream. He couldn\u2019t resist ice cream and it would disappear in the blink of an eye.
