Aristotle here, I want to send birthday thanks to all you dear friends for my lovely birthday wishes. It wasn\u2019t a bad birthday. Nothing special, but nice none the less. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I did ask where the steak was and the conversation ran like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cIs there steak for tea? Alfie always got steak?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cI\u2019m sorry, Ari we\u2019re having duck tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cDuck\u2019s good. Don\u2019t make mine too fatty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cI\u2019m sorry, Ari\u2026\u201d (you can see a theme here), \u201cbut I only got two breasts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cThat\u2019s ok. I only wanted one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cOne for me and one for Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: \u201cI don\u2019t mind eating with Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cNo, Ari, it\u2019s Dad and my last meal together until Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Me: (ever the sympathetic dog) \u201cI don\u2019t mind you watching us eat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum: \u201cI\u2019m cooking turkey tomorrow. You can have some of that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So now it seems I\u2019ve been downgraded from steak, bypassed duck and gone all the way to turkey. What is the world coming to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We all got to take part in a Zoom call yesterday. It has to be done one at a time so there isn\u2019t total chaos. We have to tell people what we are like as a breed. Wilma kicked things off, but she has a tendency to get bored and want to do something else. Shadow then had to have help to get up onto the sofa to do her bit. She showed that aging is in the body and not the mind and she can still think of herself as a puppy if she wants to. Then it was my turn. Every time I do them I get the same comments. \u2018Isn\u2019t he handsome.\u2019 A chap can get to enjoy that sort of adoration. I just wish I could do more of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, if you remember, I\u2019m on a promise of a turkey dinner. I\u2019m off to help supervise the cooking to make sure it turns out exactly how I like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
