It was so miserable yesterday, both the weather and Dad going, that I just couldn’t wait to get my paws on better things that might have happened in the past.

I started back in 2006 when Alfie as a puppy. As I read this I felt a bit sorry for him, but ended up having a good laugh.

A day out

Well I am thoroughly fed up and it isn’t made any better knowing that the circumstances that have led to this situation are all my own fault. How was I to know that when we all went in my mistress’s car it was a test to see if it was possible to take me with them if they went out for the day in it? At the time it seemed obvious to me that I wanted to sit on my mistress’s knee so that I could have a cuddle and look out of the window. So what happens? Yesterday they went out without me. I argued with my master that I am the one who usually goes in the passenger seat of that car and that he should be the one that went to the dog sitter for the day but he took no notice of me at all. I actually had this little illusion that in some way it was my car and I loved it. How can he do that to me?

Dog’s Day Out Flashback

Oh they had a great time and in fairness I had fun playing with my doggy friends but that isn’t the point. Who wants to be reasonable when they have been wilfully missed out of having fun? All that after I got my master a Father’s Day card as well. I’m building up credit in case there is a ‘Dog’s day’ at some point in the year. He loved the way I had signed the Father’s day card with a paw print, I got the idea from seeing what a lovely shape it makes if I run across the wet grass, then across the garden soil and then before it dries quickly run into the lounge and across the rug. It makes a lovely pattern.

Oh and I did love reading Aristotle’s write up from our Fun Day four years ago. I was my first northern fun day and it was wonderful. This year’s would have been last weekend if we could have had it. What a shame we couldn’t

2016 Northern Fun Day

Oh what a day I had yesterday. Our Mistress said I could go to Fun Day as long as I promised not to mind that I would have to sit and watch for some of it. Of course I agreed. For reference I did mind when I had to sit out, but that was better than not going at all. Our Master partnered with me in some of the games and I had the most amazing run round with the other dogs. The best bit was when my brother Amigo was there and he and Mum and me had a big family game of chase. Wilma joined in, but she didn’t really get the whole brothers things. My little sister, Cinders, had made pup cakes for us all and I have to say they were very tasty. I had seconds of those. We took one home for Alfie too so he didn’t miss out on the important things.

Our Fun Day in 2016

Alfie and Bella

Once the day finished Bella came home to visit Alfie and they had a sort of game of ball in the garden.
