Falk was one of my walking buddies in Switzerland and is the father of Shadow\u2019s third litter of puppies. Mum absolutely adored him as he reminded her of Alfie. He was a very handsome dog and a real gentleman. I\u2019d like to send all my love and licks to his humans and his housemate, Megan. Mum and I are both very sad.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/c4076fb0-fd7b-4895-96dc-6c8df5b90350-738x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17263\"\/><figcaption>Falk and Megan last November<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mum\u2019s being feeling sad about Alfie too. When she couldn\u2019t sleep\nshe got up and went downstairs to sit near Alfie\u2019s ashes and talk to him.\nThankfully she said she didn\u2019t need me so I kept the bed warm for when she got\nback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ari improving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ari is a lot more cheerful. I don\u2019t suppose his antibiotics\nare really working yet, but he says he is benefitting from the painkillers so\nhe can at least put his paw to the ground. He didn\u2019t fall over once yesterday, which\nis a definite improvement. It\u2019s going to be some while before both his legs are\nbetter, but at least it\u2019s a start. Now he\u2019s more cheerful he has said he wants\nto try the crime scene challenge. The problem is that Mum has put him on a diet\nas he\u2019s doing so little exercise and had put some weight on as a result. She doesn\u2019t\nwant him eating lots of extra treats and much as he promises to leave them all\nalone &#8211; we\u2019re Entlebuchers and far too devious to be trusted on something like\nthat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Countdown to seeing Dad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m starting my countdown to seeing Dad when he\u2019s allowed out\nof isolation on Monday. I think Mum s quite looking forward to it too. I don\u2019t\nknow which is most exciting the fact that I\u2019ll see him or the fact that there\u2019ll\nbe steak for tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wilma<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Wilma is remembering her friend Falk vom Kornried who died on Tuesday.
