Journey Flashback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well it\u2019s time for another Journey Flashback and I thought it would be fun to go back to when Alfie was a puppy again. I\u2019m really glad I did as fourteen years ago he was heading to my land of birth for the very first time. It\u2019s so funny because he went to stay really near where our house is now. He thought he was going to get to move there then, but it didn\u2019t happen. Then all those years later it did but with Dad doing a completely different job. Anyway here it is from Alfie in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Off on a – journey<\/em> flashback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well I am off on a journey in the car today. My mistress\nhas packed lots of things for me and says I am going to Switzerland so maybe\nit\u2019s true. I asked if I could have some extra spending money if I was going on\nholiday as all my pocket money had gone ages ago and my mistress said she would\nsee. She did confuse me though by telling me it would have to be in something\ncalled Swiss Francs instead of Euros as they use different money there. Why? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early walks<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The bad news was that I did have to go for an early walk. I\ngrumbled all the way but the good bit was that we met a few other dogs on\nroute. They were all grumbling that their owners took them out so early and\nseemed quite jealous when I said that we usually preferred to go out just after\nlunch. Most owners just have no idea what a dog wants! There are times that we\nare about as keen on exercise as they are, but does that stop them? No, it does\nnot. They march us off because it\u2019s \u2018good for us\u2019. Pah, a nice warm fireside\nand something to chew, that\u2019s what we really want.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweets<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I did manage to get my mistress to buy some sweets for the journey but she wouldn\u2019t let me have them early. M<\/em>uch as I tried arguing that I would get sticky paws on my master\u2019s car but she was one step ahead of me and said I shouldn\u2019t have used the excuse they were for the journey if that wasn\u2019t what I meant. I do hope she doesn\u2019t decide to sing all the way there, it can really be very distracting when she does that. O<\/em>therwise I end up trying to cover my ears with my paws. I don\u2019t think my master can like my mistress\u2019s singing either as he isn\u2019t coming with us in the car. He says he is flying down later and we will see him there. I didn\u2019t think she was quite that bad!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
