How was I to know if I jumped over Alfie and just caught him with my paw as I went over that it would be enough to knock him over? He took it in good spirits. He lay there dazed for a moment or two, wondering where his legs had gone and then struggled back to his feet as though it was just your average day. As a result of that, Mum has said I need to be more careful and, unless absolutely necessary, I\u2019m not to leap-frog over him. I can see her point, but it does rather spoil the fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_9033-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17159\"\/><figcaption>Creeping up on Alfie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aristotle\u2019s leg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadly, Ari\u2019s leg is not better. Mum is going to see how he\ngoes the rest of this week, but he may well have to go to see the specialist. I\nthink she\u2019s going to look at moving his crate so it\u2019s in a more pleasant location\nfor the daytimes. He says he likes it where it is, but it\u2019s so tucked away he\ncan\u2019t really want to spend that much time in it, surely. Unfortunately, the\nproblem is that where Mum would move it to would mean he was disturbed at night\nwhen he wants to go to bed. He really doesn\u2019t like that idea. Mum is having a\nrethink about where he might move to, so we\u2019ll have to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunny walk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I had a lovely sunny walk around the village and up along one\nof the lanes yesterday. Mum\u2019s avoiding the areas with standing water so we don\u2019t\npick up any more bugs. It\u2019s really easy around here as there are so many places\nwe can choose to walk and they\u2019re all fairly quiet. It was just nice to catch\nup with her and enjoy each other\u2019s company. I told her I had a call from my\nniece, Izzy, to say she still isn\u2019t ready to go and see the stud dog. She\u2019s\nhaving another progesterone test in a few days and thinks it will be early next\nweek before she travels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love Wilma<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>Wilma has been told she needs to be more careful.
