I know that sounds an odd request, but I can explain. Please don\u2019t tell Alfie what I\u2019m about to say. You see, on 25<sup>th<\/sup> of February he will be 14 years, 3 months and 12 days old. Mum has worked out that if a human year is the same as 7 dog years, then that is the day he celebrates his 100<sup>th<\/sup> Birthday. When a human reaches their 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday in this country, they are sent a telegram by the Queen. We think then that it\u2019s only right and proper for Alfie to receive a special message from a Corgi. We would have liked it to be one of the Queen\u2019s corgis, but sadly she doesn\u2019t have any anymore. It would be really special if there is a Corgi out there related to the Queen\u2019s Corgis, but quite honestly we\u2019ll settle for any Corgi, Pembrokeshire or Cardigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we would like<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a Corgi reading this, or if you have a friend who\nis a Corgi, what we\u2019d really like is for you to send a photo of yourself and a\nhappy 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday message by email to <a href=\"mailto:alfie@alfiedog.me.uk\">alfie@alfiedog.me.uk<\/a> and then I\u2019ll give\nthem to Alfie on his actual 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday. He won\u2019t see them before\nthat as it\u2019s me now who checks his email account so you are quite safe to send\nthem as soon as you like so I\u2019ve got them ready. He will be so happy if he gets\nsome special messages so please all you Corgis or friends of Corgis do respond.\nIt will be huge fun for him. We really didn\u2019t think he was going to make it\nthis far, so it will make it very special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In other news<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In exciting news as far as I\u2019m concerned, Mum managed to walk\ntwo miles with me yesterday. Oh we had such a lovely time. She\u2019s still having\nto be a little slower and more careful than normal, but we had a great time\ncatching up on news and enjoying the fresh air. I found some manure to chew on,\nwhich was particularly exciting. Oddly Mum resisted that bit. She has said by\nthis time next week she wants to be doing at least three miles.
