Our Mistress says the way things are going I may outlive all of you, but I\u2019m taking it a day at a time. Yesterday was a better day. It was Shadow paying a trip to the vet yesterday rather than me. Our Mistress has noticed she has been coughing after she has a drink. The vet says the heart murmur she has developed recently seems to have got worse, so as a precaution she is going to see a specialist so we can try to find out a little more about what is going on. We\u2019d rather start her on medication early and get things under control than leave it late. Our Mistress said having one of us ill was quite bad enough, so hopefully all will be well for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_8761-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16929\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Year Walk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Mistress really really wants to go for a New Year Walk. She\nsays sitting in a chair for weeks on end is driving her slowly crazy. I beg to differ.\nAs far as I\u2019m aware, she\u2019s been crazy a lot longer than she\u2019s been sitting in a\nchair. Anyway, I\u2019m grateful for her sitting here as she\u2019s keeping me company. I\nsuspect when she is allowed to go for walks it may take a little while for her\nto build up some strength again. She\u2019s got another week or so before she\u2019s back\nat the hospital, so she can stick with crazy for a while longer yet. She\u2019s just\nhoping she will be all right to drive after that, otherwise I think you might\nall hear her frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From me, Shadow, Aristotle, Wilma and of course our Master and\nMistress, a very happy New Year to you all and may 2020 be a year of good\nthings. May it be a year in which your wishes come true.
