{"id":16726,"date":"2019-11-08T06:00:39","date_gmt":"2019-11-08T06:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/?p=16726"},"modified":"2019-11-08T06:00:39","modified_gmt":"2019-11-08T06:00:39","slug":"friday-flashback-friday-8th-november-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alfiesdiary.uk\/index.php\/2019\/11\/08\/friday-flashback-friday-8th-november-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Flashback &#8211; Friday 8th November 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Friday Flashback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve not done a Friday Flashback for what seems like ages.\nAnyway, when I started looking, I so liked this entry from when Alfie was just\na puppy way back in 2006 that I thought I\u2019d bring you the whole of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Walking in the dark<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I went for a walk in the dark. There seems to be a lot more\nof the dark at the moment, it is appearing at times I am really not expecting\nit. As you may imagine this particular walk involved my master, my mistress did\ncome along too but in fairness her presence only made me nervous. Isn\u2019t it\nfunny how jumpy someone can be just because of the absence of a bit of light.&nbsp;\nIt was helpful that she came as she was the only one with a torch, although as\nit was just the one that is part of her mobile phone it was not all that\neffective. However, having a torch did at least stop us treading in anything\nunpleasant. Mind you, if we had trodden in something, it would have been the\nsame thing unpleasant that I had tried eating in the light the day before.\nAfter that episode my mistress asked me if I could refrain from kissing her for\na month and a half, but I have no idea why.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Daylight saving<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Where has all this dark come from? I know we changed the\nclocks the other week, though in actual fact the ones we seem to have changed\nthem for look exactly the same as the ones we replaced, but I am guessing that\nin the process all the countries must have moved round a bit and we are now in\na different time zone. I asked my mistress and she said it was the end of\n\u2018daylight saving\u2019 which has left me a bit confused, if we had been saving all\nthat daylight why isn\u2019t there any left? It turns out I am going to have to go on\nmost of my walks a bit earlier in the day or wait for my master to take me. I\nwonder if my mistress would cope better if I stopped going up behind her and\ngoing \u2018boo\u2019 every few minutes?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scenes of Devastation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d better not write much more, but I did like this video that Alfie called \u2018Scenes of Devastation. It was taken when Aristotle and his brothers and sisters were just a few weeks old, way back in 2011.
