Today is a day for subdued excitement. On the one paw, Mum and\nI are starting our journey to Switzerland to see Dad, my family and friends and\nenjoy ourselves. On the other paw it means leaving Alfie being looked after\nhere and Mum isn\u2019t very comfortable with all that. He says we\u2019re not to worry\nand he will be fine until we get back, but of course Mum is worried. She\u2019s\ntaking him to the vet this morning as she\u2019s found another lump and also wants\nto discuss what we can do to help his pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is being stoic. He\u2019s very good at that. However, we know\nfrom all the panting that it hurts. The panting is making him drink more. The\ntumour on his spine seems to be affecting his bladder control. You get the picture,\nbut it\u2019s certainly the most our kitchen floor has been mopped since, well, I\nguess since Ari was a puppy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re probably familiar with the pattern by now. Today we go\nto see my grandparents. Then Mum and I will set off early tomorrow to cross the\nChannel. In the sort of crazy way that only Mum can, before we go today she\u2019s\ndoing a radio interview about her new book. Why she has to plan to do everything\nat the same time I just don\u2019t know, but it happens every time. Somebody needs\nto tell her, but I don\u2019t really think anyone is brave enough. On the upside, it\ndoes mean she has planned lots of exciting things for us for next week, so I\u2019m\nsuper excited about that. My human aunt is coming to stay. The one who came\nwith Mum to Switzerland to collect me. It is going to be great to spend some\ntime with her again now I\u2019m an adult. We will be picking her up on Saturday\nafter I\u2019ve been with Mum and Dad to see the dogs going through their breeding\ntest in Switzerland. I\u2019m hoping to see some of my friends there too and maybe\nmy Papa. Anyway, that\u2019s enough from me for today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
