We got soaked and that was before there was any chance of a\nlong walk. Mum took me out at 7am yesterday after my breakfast, just for a twenty\nminute walk. We were planning our long walk late. Things just didn\u2019t go as\nplanned. Ten minutes into the walk, so the furthest point from the hotel, the\nfirst spots of rain started. By the time we\u2019d gone another few metres, the\nheavens opened and we got absolutely soaked through. Mum didn\u2019t have a coat on.\nI was far from impressed, and I usually like water. By the time we got back to where\nwe were staying we were both dripping wet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We went straight to the car and shared my towel to get a\nlittle bit dry. I had a good shake, but Mum\u2019s not so good at that. Then we dripped\nour way into the hotel reception and I flopped down while Mum had a coffee to\nrecover a little bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We did laugh about it all later, but it meant that none of us\nfelt like braving the weather for a longer walk later. That wouldn\u2019t have been\nso bad, but it meant I missed out on the chance of ice cream and the otters\nmight have frolicked all day for all we know. Oh well, next time. The upsetting\npart for me was that Mum had ice cream at lunchtime and I wasn\u2019t offered any. That\u2019s\nhumans for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We were both pretty low later when we had to say goodbye to Dad\nat the airport. We\u2019ll see him soon but it\u2019s not the same as being able to see\nhim every day. We miss him. I\u2019m counting down the day on my paws, which isn\u2019t\neasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now we\u2019re looking forward to seeing the others and hearing all\nabout their weekend and telling them about ours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
