It\u2019s Wilma here with Friday Flashback. OK, so I know it\u2019s not\nFriday, but admit it, I did make you check your calendar for a moment. Well I\u2019ve\nmissed Friday Flashback so I\u2019m doing it on a Saturday anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Alfie not being so good, it\u2019s lovely to look back to when\nhe was young. This is from 2006 when he was not even a year old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I might have had a small nibble at the mole man as well.\nNot so as you would notice but if a strange man is going to let himself in\nthrough the back gate of my garden I am entitled to take a closer look. Or\ncloser sniff, bounce, or nibble as I see fit. I didn\u2019t do any real harm and it\nis good that he knows I live here and he visits on my terms and am I really to\nblame for just how exciting he smells?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Then the following year, Alfie wrote about the times he used\nto be the one going everywhere by car. I rather liked this one, though I have\nto say I\u2019m envious as there is no option for a DVD when I travel<\/p>\n\n\n\n My travels continue once again and we are off to Middlesbrough this morning. \u2018Never stay in one place long enough to get caught\u2019, that\u2019s my motto! My mistress has a slight variation of that which is \u2018never stay anywhere long enough for them to find out what you\u2019re really like\u2019, but I guess it amounts to much the same thing. My mistress is planning a stop on route so I had a quick look at the map and said I wouldn\u2019t mind going to the Peak District or the Yorkshire Moors. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n She rather spoilt it when she said it was more likely to be the car park of a motorway service station as she has to make a work telephone call. I was disappointed to say the least but said \u201cI suppose it will only be for five minutes then.\u201d Sadly it seems I was delusional, it is likely to be an hour. Now I don\u2019t know about you but there are many places I find more interesting to spend an hour of my short life than in a motorway service station car park. I think she might have finally lost the plot. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have asked if I promise to put the headphones on and stay quiet, whether I can watch a dvd in the back of the car. Although she said it might be possible, she drew the line when I asked for \u2018101 Dalmatians\u2019, mainly because she knows there is no way I will stay quiet. I am likely to jump up every so often and say \u201cLook at that one.\u201d \u201cThat one\u2019s cute.\u201d \u201cCan I have a puppy?\u201d You know how it goes with us kids when we get excited. She has said I can quietly read a book instead but I think on balance I will go with the nap idea.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ah well, that\u2019s all from the archive. Alfie had a quieter day\nyesterday so we\u2019re hoping he\u2019s feeling somewhat better than he was.
