Mum and I are feeling blue. Oh please don\u2019t misunderstand, we\nboth are delighted to see Alfie, Shadow and Ari, but we\u2019re missing Switzerland\nand we\u2019re missing Dad. We had a long cuddle earlier and Mum told me it was now\nless than three weeks until we\u2019d be on the road again. I feel really mean to\nthe others complaining, but it is so hard. I miss my mountain. I miss my\ncuddles with Dad and his smell. That last bit is a dog thing \u2013 don\u2019t worry, he\ndoesn\u2019t smell odd or anything, it\u2019s just him. I do curl up on his side of the\nbed here, but it\u2019s not the same as sniffing right up close to him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum is a much jollier person when Dad is around. Don\u2019t tell her\nI said this, but she can be pretty boring the rest of the time. I know she\ndoesn\u2019t mean to be, but she just works too much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019re gradually eating the homegrown veg at the moment. They\nhaven\u2019t really done very well this year, but I guess that\u2019s because Ari hasn\u2019t\nlooked after them properly. I think they probably needed more watering, but I\u2019m\nnot really the gardener. I\u2019m more of a connoisseur of eating it all than\ngrowing it. I\u2019m working my way through the fallen greengages at the moment, unless\nMum catches me and makes me put them down. Thankfully, I\u2019m the only one of the\nfour of us who seems to like them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The carrots are really small and I have to say the runner\nbeans are too stringy. I\u2019ve got to get round to the apples and pears next but I\nneed them to fall off as I can\u2019t reach them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, I\u2019m off to see if I can cheer Mum up today and whether\nshe will take me out somewhere fun. Perhaps I should suggest to her we could go\nfor an ice cream and see if that gets her interested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
