Thirteen and three-quarters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday was my thirteen and three-quarters birthday. I know\nit doesn\u2019t trip off the tongue, but I still think it\u2019s a bit of a cause for\ncelebration. I\u2019m doing ok. I\u2019m hanging in there. One by one parts of me are stopping\nworking, but so far more parts work than don\u2019t. There will come a time when\nthat balance switches round, but for now I\u2019m celebrating and making most of the\ntime I do have. Obviously, I\u2019d have liked to spend the day with our Mistress,\nbut sadly that wasn\u2019t the case. She has promised to have a little celebration with\nme as soon as we are back together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The importance of spelling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday our Mistress was talking to someone about naming\ndogs after literary greats. In this case, they weren\u2019t talking about me, but\npeople like Shakespeare. Our Mistress set out to do that with each of Shadow\u2019s\nlitters. One puppy was always named after great artists, be they from the world\nof writing or music. With the A litter, it was of course our Aristotle. Writer and\nphilosopher. With the B litter it was Beethoven, musician. The D litter was a\ngreat character D\u2019Artagnan. Things went a bit wrong with the C litter. Of\ncourse there was the great character Cinderella but there was also supposed to\nbe a great Russian Playwright \u2013 Chekhov. The problem was that when our Mistress\nfilled in the forms she missed out the \u2018h\u2019 and put Chekov, which actually left\nhim as a character from Star Trek! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing with Shadow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the best things about sharing with Shadow is looking at her and thinking I haven\u2019t gone as grey as she has. Of course it does make her look distinguished and she is the one who has gone through having 22 puppies, so she can probably justify going grey. However, I do rather like the fact I look younger than I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
