Oh the heat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Oh the heat! I\u2019m just not used to this. We\u2019re trying to avoid the hottest part of the day, but even a short walk in the open is leaving me sleeping for the rest of the day. I don\u2019t think it helped that yesterday\u2019s walk was up a steep incline to a castle. I had voted for walking by the river, but everyone else wanted to go to the castle and said we could go to the river afterwards. The problem was, by the time we\u2019d walked to the castle we were all too hot and tired to go anywhere else, me included! When we got to the restaurant at the bottom, I just flaked out under the table and didn\u2019t even care what the humans were eating. Ok, I asked for an ice cream, but Mum said no. It was a bit mean as she had one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evenings are best<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I think the evenings are definitely best, when everywhere has cooled down a bit and we all sit outside to have dinner. I\u2019ve got the hang of sitting on the bench, but sadly they don\u2019t let me do that until they\u2019ve finished eating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s excitement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today I think is going to be spent in the car quite a bit.\nThat\u2019s not too bad as at least we have air-conditioning. We\u2019ve got it turned\ndown to the coldest setting and the fan is on the maximum setting. I just hope\nit doesn\u2019t stop working as we\u2019d really be in trouble then. On balance I think a\nwoodland walk would be more my thing, but I\u2019m having to wait for that. Humans\ndo have some odd ideas of what they want to do. Dad even thought going to car\nmuseums was better than being outdoors. He\u2019s strange. I guess I\u2019ll be able to\ndo more outdoor things when he goes back to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
