I\u2019m going to be living vicariously through Wilma for the next\nweek or so. Gone are the days when I\u2019ve wanted to pack my little bag and help\nsit on a suitcase to get it to close. I like to keep the same safe four walls\naround me these days. I\u2019m very happy to hear all about Wilma\u2019s travels, but I\ndon\u2019t actually need to go myself. Our Mistress is a bit like that over wild\nanimals \u2013 the big scary ones anyway. She loves to hear about people\u2019s trips to\nall sorts of places in the world, but has no need to go herself. At least it\nmeans I know Wilma\u2019s not going to be meeting any lions while she\u2019s away. Mind\nyou, I don\u2019t think she\u2019d really be fazed if she did!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterday was another summerhouse working day. Our Mistress\nhas worked out that one of the ways that working out there is good is because there\nis less clutter on the desk. Our Master suggested she could solve that problem\nby sweeping everything off the desk in the office, but our Mistress would never\ncope with that approach. If she only takes outside the thing she most needs to\nwork on, she gets side-tracked less. Mostly that means she takes the book she\u2019s\nworking on. She\u2019s all right until the local wildlife, mainly in the form of a\nwasp or two decides to join her. Then she stops working very quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the problems with being left behind is the list of\njobs. \u2018Alfie, please will you water the vegetables?\u2019 Nothing so nice as \u2018Alfie please\nwill you eat the vegetables?\u2019 That I wouldn\u2019t mind being left behind for. The\ncarrots are all starting to look very tasty and I\u2019m quite happy to try one or\ntwo. Mind you, Wilma\u2019s been eating her way around the garden and has been sick\nin the night a couple of times, which has not made her popular. That\u2019s dogs for\nyou!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
