Who comes first? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Who comes first in this house? That\u2019s what I want to know. I\u2019m\nvery upset. I thought I was the most important thing in our Mistress\u2019s life. It\u2019s\nmy swimming day. I\u2019ve got my towel ready in my paw and I\u2019m ready to be told it\u2019s\ntime to go. What do I get instead? \u2018I\u2019m sorry, Alfie, didn\u2019t I tell you that\nyou\u2019re not going swimming today?\u2019 Ok, to be fair she might have told me and I\nwould be none the wiser as I don\u2019t remember things very well. Whether she told\nme or not, why is she prioritising something else over my swimming? There is\nnothing like a dog having to accept that he doesn\u2019t come first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blowing up a ball<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On a funnier note, I did rather enjoy the saga of our Mistress blowing up Wilma\u2019s exercise ball yesterday. It arrived with a foot pump, so she duly started to pump. She realised it was going to take quite a bit of effort, so about half way through she decided to do something else for a while. That was when the problem started. She didn\u2019t put the stopper in the hole. She sort of thought that leaving the pump in the hole might be enough. It wasn\u2019t. Slowly the ball deflated itself again, leaving our Mistress to have to begin again from the beginning.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, yesterday was step one, blowing up the ball. Today\nthey are thinking of moving on to step two and actually using it. I shall be\nwatching them but not actually taking part. I get over excited too easily these\ndays and am better just to stay calm. I don\u2019t know why I worry \u2013 Wilma is\npermanently over-excited and she gets away with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
