I\u2019m going to be writing\nthe diary over the weekend too as it\u2019s an exciting time for us. Tomorrow we\u2019ve\ngot our big celebration of the Club\u2019s 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary. Obviously, I\nwasn\u2019t around at the start, but Shadow was and she\u2019s really looking forward to\nbeing part of the celebrations. Anyway as it was the 14<sup>th<\/sup> June 2009\nwhen it all began, I thought that I would break with tradition and bring you\nAlfie\u2019s diary from the following day when he wrote about how it all began. So\nhere it is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>15<\/strong><sup><strong>th<\/strong><\/sup><strong> June 2009 \u2013 the events of the 14<\/strong><sup><strong>th<\/strong><\/sup><strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Alfie in disgrace<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I disgraced myself yesterday. I got on fine with the other\ndogs. I wasn\u2019t possessive about my garden. I don\u2019t know whether the other male\nEntlebucher or I decided which of us was top dog, but it didn\u2019t matter. I was\nthe model of self restraint, except for one small point. I peed up the leg of\nthe other male dog\u2019s owner. Doing it once might have been considered an\ninnocent mistake. Doing it twice might have been considered negligent, but when\nI did it for a third time I was well and truly in disgrace. To be fair to him,\nhe took it in remarkably good spirits and I did feel a little guilty that my\nMistress was so embarrassed by me. I don\u2019t know what came over me really. I\nknow that isn\u2019t acceptable behaviour when playing with humans, but I just\ncouldn\u2019t stop myself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Shadow adored<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>On the other paw, everyone fell in love with Shadow. She\nplayed with everyone and seemed to think all the other dogs were fantastic and\nshe didn\u2019t manage to do anything disgraceful or even naughty all day. In fact\nnow that I come to think about it, she was a right little goody four paws.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Entlebucher Mountain Dog Club of Great Britain<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The best bit is that we now have our very own Club in the United Kingdom, just for our type of dogs and people who are interested in us. We\u2019re going to have our own fun day in September too, as long as the humans do their bit and organise it. I\u2019m hoping that it means I shall get the opportunity of meeting even more of my type some time and I have promised faithfully to try to remember not to pee on any people. To be honest, I don\u2019t think my Mistress could cope with the embarrassment of my doing it again.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/10th-anniversary-a-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16155\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to find out more about our Club &#8211; the website is <a href=\"http:\/\/entlebucher.co.uk\/club\/\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now I\u2019m off to pack my case so I\u2019m ready to go in the morning.
