I\u2019d just like to say \u2018it wasn\u2019t me\u2019. I did not cause the very large\npurple and black bruise on our Mistress\u2019s foot. It does look rather as though\nsomething or someone very heavy might have landed on her, but it wasn\u2019t me. To\nbe fair, to our Mistress\u2019s recollection it wasn\u2019t any of us and she has no idea\nwhere it\u2019s come from. I\u2019m now concerned that our Mistress might be suffering\nfrom memory loss rather than bruising. I\u2019m guessing it probably was one of us,\nbut she\u2019s so used to be accidentally injured that she has stopped paying any\nattention. She can recollect getting the very bad bruises on the top of her leg\nthough \u2013 they were Wilma after she had to stay in kennels last weekend. It wasn\u2019t\nthat Wilma wanted revenge, it was just that she\u2019d missed our Mistress so much\nthat she rather threw herself at our Mistress when she picked her up \u2013\nliterally!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wilma is protesting. She has asked that in future all her\nwalks involve going away from the village. It\u2019s so funny. There is nothing\nShadow likes more than walking around the village itself. She leaves messages\nfor friends and enemies and is quite happy to meet people. If she doesn\u2019t feel\nlike stopping she just barks at them and makes it impossible for our Mistress\nto talk to them. Wilma is suffering from too much politeness. She doesn\u2019t bark\nwhen she meets people and as our Mistress knows most people in the village she\nfinds herself having to stop while humans are talking. Her walk yesterday was\ninterrupted so many times that she has now asked to leave the village to walk.\nShe says she likes it best when they don\u2019t see anyone our Mistress knows as\nthen the walk can be all about her. That might be ever so slightly selfish on\nher part, but I guess every dog has her limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
