I\u2019m supposed to be minding my manners. It is not easy. As you\nmay be aware, we are by nature quite a strong-willed breed. Of course, we\u2019re\nalso good looking, intelligent and lots of other things that help to make up\nfor it. However, we have determination (for which read stubbornness) in spades.\nI take after my mother. Shadow is a very determined girl and has passed those\ngenes on and now I seem to be under a programme of \u2018retraining\u2019. Apparently, I\nwill go to bed at the time our Mistress says I can go to bed and not when I\nchoose. The real point isn\u2019t about the bedtime itself it\u2019s more about how I go\nabout it. Apparently, barking incessantly to get what I want is not considered\nacceptable behaviour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ll be honest, we\u2019ve all got a bit noisy recently. It\u2019s down\nto Alfie kicking off. The rest of us then think it\u2019s acceptable. Alfie has gone\nback into a quiet phase and our Mistress, for her own sanity is now trying to\nrestore order. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It turns out that however determined I am, our Mistress is\neven more strong willed and she isn\u2019t going to give in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wilma is now on her new food. She likes it, which is a good\nstarting point, but she\u2019s sneaky. When they go for walks she is trying to root\nout all food opportunities along the way. She also brazenly made a bid for Alfie\u2019s\nbowl at breakfast yesterday. He eats quite slowly these days and our Mistress\nhad turned her back for a moment and had not realised that Wilma had finished\nher own bowl of food. Wilma didn\u2019t blink. She was nose into Alfie\u2019s bowl before\nanyone had chance to stop her. She has been threatened with being isolated at\nmeal times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
