Now that Shadow can go\nout and about every day is a new learning experience. We\u2019ve taken her to see the\nducks on the pond. She looked for all the world as though given the chance she\nwould get into the pond and go for a swim. It was funnier when my Mistress took\nus both up to the other house so that she could do some gardening. The idea was\nthat we would sit quietly tied to the fence while my Mistress did the planting.\nShadow was more of a mind to dig up the plants as my Mistress put them in.\nExcept she wasn\u2019t intending to do it all that carefully and I don\u2019t think\nthey\u2019d have been in a state where they would grow<\/em> afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Oh dear, poor Alfie. I\u2019d never really thought about how hard\nit must have been for him years ago with two dogs in season to have to contend\nwith. This is what he wrote in 2011<\/p>\n\n\n\n At last Megan is coming\nto the end of her season. It has been torture. I love her dearly and would so\nlike to oblige but of course I can\u2019t and for all our good I am not allowed to\ntry. My poor Mistress has had to keep a constant eye on us to make sure we are\nbehaving. It has been driving her nuts. At least there will be a little bit of\npeace until Shadow comes into season. Mind you, of my Mistress gets that right\nshe will be away for the critical time and introducing her to a boy dog that\ncan and will fulfil her every need. It\u2019s a hard life for some of us. We don\u2019t\nget the sympathy and understanding we deserve.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Oh dear this from 2014 made me laugh<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have discovered one of\nthe reasons our Mistress needs a dog. It\u2019s to stop anyone deciding she is\nclinically insane. I caught her yesterday talking to herself at great length\nand actually holding a whole two sided discussion. She\u2019s always said it\u2019s us\nshe\u2019s talking to and I\u2019ve been happy to accept that for the last eight and a\nhalf years. Now I\u2019m not so certain. I know you can get webcams to go on dog\ncollars so you can see what we are doing when you aren\u2019t there, but I\u2019m\nthinking of getting one for a human so I can keep tabs on her behaviour when\nshe\u2019s on her own. To be honest I think someone should!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Well that\u2019s all from me for today.
