Oh what a weekend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Oh what a weekend it\u2019s been. We\u2019ve all had a lovely time\nseeing Dad. I know Ari was fed up that we didn\u2019t get to go out for breakfast yesterday\nbut we\u2019ve had so many cuddles and so much time outdoors that I don\u2019t think any\nof us could complain. Alfie has had a bad couple of days with his dementia. He\u2019s\nbarked pretty much the whole time, which is very annoying. More to the point,\nwhat\u2019s annoying is when we get told off for joining in. He did manage to be\ncalm for a short time sitting with Mum and Dad and me, but if any of us moved\nhe got really stressed about it. That wouldn\u2019t be so bad if I was any good at\nsitting still, but basically I\u2019m not. I think the real problem is that he desperately\nneeds routine and on a holiday weekend, things end up being different. When it\u2019s\njust Mum and us she can keep things on schedule for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lie ins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve had some nice lie ins with Dad. He does spoil me when he\u2019s\nhere. I just love getting into bed with him and being cuddled. It\u2019s usually\nwhen Mum goes upstairs for a shower and I go too, but then sneak into bed when\nshe\u2019s not looking. It\u2019s great. I think I might be a bit spoiled, but I\u2019m not\ncomplaining. Shadow gets fed up as she says she\u2019d really like to be there. Not\nas well as me, she wants Dad all to herself. Thankfully Mum leaves her\ndownstairs so she doesn\u2019t get the chance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back to normal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now life has to go back to a sort of normal. Dad will fly back\nto Switzerland today and Mum will restore some level of discipline in the\nhouse. She\u2019s such a killjoy. Tomorrow isn\u2019t going to be very normal as we\u2019re\nall going to doggy day care so that she can go to meet a friend she hasn\u2019t seen\nfor ages. It\u2019s their old neighbour from when they lived in Belgium. Alfie\u2019s fed\nup that he can\u2019t go, but he wouldn\u2019t cope with a day out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, I\u2019m off for one last lie in with Dad before he goes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
