I\u2019m finding it hard, being an elderly dog. I\u2019m doing my best,\nbut there are some parts about it that could make me cry. I used to be able to\njump ditches. Now it\u2019s as much as I can do to get my rear end to stay upright.\nWhilst Ari is running upstairs taking three at a time I\u2019m struggling with each\nand every one. Going up is ok most of the time, although it\u2019s better if my\nMistress will follow to keep my back end going forwards if it forgets. Going\ndown is an altogether different situation. I do have occasional good days, when\neverything seems to work. Then I have days when quite honestly it\u2019s more about\ncarefully manoeuvring my front end down, with my Mistress supporting my weight\nand hoping my back end doesn\u2019t get down first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m going to try some physiotherapy to see if that will help,\nbut if I\u2019m being honest the whole situation is starting to get me down. I may have\nto give in and say I\u2019ll start sleeping downstairs. The worst of that though is\nknowing that the day I say that, I will never get to go upstairs again. I\u2019ve\ntold Wilma not to get too excited at the prospect as I\u2019ll be bringing my good\nbed down with me if I do. Our Mistress has already said she\u2019ll rearrange the kitchen\nto give me more space and try to create a nice cosy corner for me. That\u2019s\nsomething, but I\u2019ve slept close to her and kept an eye on her for the last more\nthan thirteen years. Ever since I first found my way round the stairgate when I\nwas young. I\u2019ll worry about her if I\u2019m down here and I can\u2019t see her. I\u2019ll miss\nher too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m determined to have a good swimming session today as that\nreally is very important in keeping me moving. I\u2019m just a bit worried after last\nweek\u2019s panic attack though. I really don\u2019t want it to happen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
