Whose bench is it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Whose bench is it exactly? That\u2019s what I want to know. It\u2019s one rule for humans and another for dogs. It\u2019s all very well starting off by saying we\u2019re sharing the new bench, but that was when it was just bare wood. Put a few cushions on it and it\u2019s an altogether different story. Now it\u2019s \u2018Don\u2019t come up here with your muddy paws, Aristotle.\u2019 Now that it\u2019s all cosy it\u2019s only for humans. I\u2019m quite prepared to have a little mat installed in front of it and to wipe my paws before getting on. I\u2019ll even subject myself to them being washed if that\u2019s really going to make the difference. I might have negotiated a dog bed on the floor underneath so I can be a bit more comfortable but that may be the limit to my negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The return of winter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Although it\u2019s gone cold again here it hasn\u2019t completely gone\nback to winter. Our Master on the other paw woke up to about twenty centimetres\nof snow again yesterday. He was a little surprised to put it mildly. Apparently\nit\u2019s clearing quickly again, but who\u2019s to say how long it will be gone for? He\nnow understands why he needs to keep his winter tyres on until Easter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We got post addressed to us yesterday. This year is our Club\u2019s\ntenth anniversary and there is a special weekend of activities being planned\nfor us to celebrate. The invite was actually addressed to \u2018Alfie, Shadow,\nAristotle and Wilma\u2019. Now the arguments begin. Of course we all want to go, but\nour Master and Mistress will need to stay somewhere overnight so that means\nonly two of us going. Alfie really ought to go, we\u2019re all agreed on that. Agreed\nthat is except Alfie, who says it would be too much for him now. Shadow will\nget priority as she was in at the very beginning too. Now I\u2019ve just got to\nargue it out with Wilma. I\u2019m wasting my breath, she\u2019ll win. She always does. I\njust hope they bring me back a slice of birthday cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
