Yesterday was a day for little walks. Now that may not\nsound exciting but can I tell you for me it most certainly was. Our Mistress is\nstill ill but she says she is as desperately in need of the fresh air as we\nare. Shadow is back to her five minute walks along the road to try and build up\nsome muscle tone. Ari is back to going to the airfield to walk for however far\nhe feels his legs will cope with. Wilma is still having to make do with only a\nlittle bit, but then there is me. I haven\u2019t been for a walk for a long time, because\nI said I really found it all too much. Anyway, I\u2019ve been talking to Shadow and\nshe has told me how lovely it is just walking along our road and how safe she\nfeels, so I asked our Mistress if I could give it a try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to try to get my leg moving so I don\u2019t have any\nmore incidents with the stairs. I do have my swimming, but our Mistress thought\na little walk each day would help if I could bring myself to do it. I\u2019d\nforgotten how good it is as a dog to smell all the scents along the way. I got\nquite excited as soon as I was out of our front gate. We only went a very\nlittle way and to be honest I was very disappointed not to be going further,\nbut I did understand that I need to start with baby steps. We\u2019re not going to\nknow how hard I find it unless we meet anyone or any dogs. I have been coping\nbetter recently so maybe it will be ok. Only time will tell, but I\u2019m hoping it\nwill do me good. I did bark for an hour when I got back, but that\u2019s a small\nprice to pay \u2013 isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Mistress said finally being able to get out was good\nfor her. She can\u2019t wait to feel well enough to go on some long walks. She is\nplanning to take Wilma to lots of new places just as soon as she can cope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, I\u2019m off swimming today. What are you up to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
