Swimming Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today is swimming day and I\u2019m really looking forward to\nit. Our Mistress calls it \u2018the old people\u2019s outing\u2019, which I think is a bit\nmean. Ok so both Shadow and I aren\u2019t puppies anymore, but there is no need for\nthat. I managed to jump up onto her bed the other night, which is something I\u2019ve\nnot done for ages. I had some difficulty jumping down again, so I won\u2019t be\ndoing it again in a hurry, but I did at least manage it the once. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, we\u2019ve got company watching us swim today so it\nmakes it all the more exciting. I\u2019m past feeling any need to show off, but I\nknow that Shadow will really thrive on the attention. As it is she swims as\nthough she\u2019s practicing for the Olympics. She\u2019s like a little rocket going\nthrough the water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quiet in the house<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re all having to be a bit quiet and well behaved. Our\nMistress is not well. She\u2019s got shingles and she says it hurts quite a lot. It\nmeans sleeping is odd as she\u2019s waking in the night and then wants the light on.\nI said that\u2019s not fair. When I wake up and am restless she doesn\u2019t let me put\nthe light on and tells me to go back to bed. It\u2019s one rule for the humans and\nanother for us. Mind you, when I raised the point she did say I was welcome to\nhave my own room, that certainly made the point and I guess I\u2019ll just put with\nthings the way they are. I most certainly do not want my own room. I\u2019ve shared\nour Mistress\u2019s room since I first managed to climb over the dog gate and go\nupstairs and I don\u2019t propose to stop now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
