You\u2019re\nnot going to believe when I tell you about Fasnacht. It\u2019s the Swiss version of\nCarnivals that happen all over the world, it\u2019s just that some thinks about it\nare rather different. Mum looked at the information on line and was sad that we\nwere going to miss it. In our village it gave a time for one event of 04.00 \u2018That\nmust be a misprint\u2019 said Mum. When we woke yesterday morning to the sound of\ndrums and bells at before 5am she sat up and woke Dad by saying \u2018It wasn\u2019t a\nmisprint.\u2019 She didn\u2019t get up and take me out to look though, which was a real\ndisappointment. She has promised that next year she will make sure we are\nprepared and will go to lots of the events now she understands a bit more of\nwhat is going on. Sometimes it takes her a while to get the hang of things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\nwasn\u2019t a very nice drive yesterday as it was really windy. Every so often the\ncar would move in a direction we weren\u2019t expecting and then there were times\nother vehicles did that and I had to put my paws over my eyes. When we got out\nmy bowl nearly got blown away, which was even more worrying. Mum was just pleased\nthat there wasn\u2019t too much traffic on the road so it sort of evened things out.\nWe listened to an audio book and the journey soon passed until we got to our\nhotel. It\u2019s nice now it\u2019s light a bit later. It meant we had chance for a\nreasonable walk in the light when we arrived. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nGilet Jaune protestors were still at the same roundabout they\u2019ve been at for a\nwhile. Oddly, rather than fires they\u2019ve now built huts to give them some\nshelter and appear to have installed a port-a-loo! I guess they\u2019re planning on\nstaying a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
