Overnight\nin France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve\njust been overnight in France and now here we are again, on the open road. We\nset off early yesterday morning as Mum likes to drive in daylight. Thankfully\nit wasn\u2019t too busy on the roads so we soon got into a rhythm of what was\nhappening and carried on listening to our audio book. We\u2019ve got a bit of a\nroutine going and Mum knows which service stations she likes to stop at. Me, I\u2019m\nnot so fussy when you\u2019ve sniffed one tree you\u2019ve sniffed them all and I\u2019m happy\nwherever we are. We don\u2019t have long breaks. Mum goes into the service station\nto find a toilet, humans are funny like that, then comes back to me. One thing\nit took Mum years to learn about us is that she can easily get us to have a\nquick drink when we stop by dropping a few pieces of our food into the water.\nWe fall for it every time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sleeping\non the floor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mum\nremembered to bring a pillow for me this time, but I still don\u2019t like sleeping\non the floor. It\u2019s not so bad when there\u2019s carpet, but on a hard floor it\nreally is a bit much. I\u2019m a bit of a princess really. When I get really stroppy\nabout it Mum tells me the story of the Princess and the Pea \u2013 I\u2019m not sure exactly\nwhat point she\u2019s trying to make. In my book, she gets a bed so you\u2019d think I\nshould too. Mind you, I did get to sit in the restaurant with her while she had\ndinner. I didn\u2019t get a chair and come to that I didn\u2019t get dinner, but at least\nin the hotel here I can sit with her. She doesn\u2019t take me to breakfast as apparently\nI get in the way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heading\nfor Home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Anyway,\nI\u2019m writing this while Mum packs our things up and gets them into the car. We\ndon\u2019t have as far to go today as we did yesterday which is good news. There\u2019s\njust one small problem. When we get to Switzerland we only have a key to the\nfront door and Dad said that the snow makes it impossible to get to that door\nand he hasn\u2019t cleared that. If he\u2019s not home when we get there we\u2019re going to\nhave to start digging. You might think it\u2019s easy to assume he\u2019ll be there, but\nhe\u2019s been away the last couple of days and is only flying back today. Let\u2019s\nhope he\u2019s not delayed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
