I\u2019m getting excited and it\u2019s not because I\u2019ve got a date\ntonight. Oh I know it\u2019s Valentine\u2019s Day, but no one has invited me to go\nanywhere, so I\u2019m guessing I\u2019m Mum\u2019s date for the evening. I don\u2019t suppose we\u2019ll\nactually go anywhere, but I might get her to curl up with us in front of a film\nfor the evening. That\u2019s not what I\u2019m getting excited about though. I\u2019m getting\nexcited as it\u2019s only one week until I go to see Dad. I don\u2019t know which bit I\u2019m\nmost excited about \u2013 Dad, seeing Mama and Valeria and my new nieces and nephews\nor the snow! Ok, I lie, other than seeing Dad the most important thing will be\ntrying to chase Timmy the cat next door. I wonder if he likes snow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mum says that apart from seeing Dad she is most looking forward\nto sunny days and walking in our favourite places in the snow. I think Dad is\nmost looking forward to there being someone else to do some of the snow\nclearing and to be fair I think I\u2019d have had enough if I were him. Ironically,\none of the jobs Mum has to do before we go is to buy a freezer to be delivered\nwhile we\u2019re there and she can be in for the delivery. All that snow, you wouldn\u2019t\nthink we\u2019d need a freezer. On the bright side, it will mean she can buy some\nice cream for us to have at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course the downside of going away is that we\u2019ll be away\nfrom Alfie for a while and neither of us really likes that now. Mum worries\nabout him. He hates us going too, which doesn\u2019t make it any easier. He puts a\nbrave face on it, but I know he finds it hard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
