We met\nanother lady walking a dog today. It\u2019s very exciting when you are 11 weeks old\nto meet another dog, so I duly rolled in the dirt to show my appreciation. Then\nthe indignity of it, while my owner was busy talking to the other lady her dog\nclimbed on my back and I wasn\u2019t sure whether I should be shouting out \u201cI\u2019m only\n11 weeks old\u201d or \u201cIn case it has escaped your notice I\u2019m a boy dog too.\u201d\nFortunately the other lady pulled him off. I hope that isn\u2019t what happens every\ntime I meet a new dog!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n When\nhe was a bit older, in 2010, Alfie spent the day getting a bit more philosophical<\/p>\n\n\n\n I want to\nknow why, early in a morning, it is all right for the birds to sing at the tops\nof their little voices, but it isn\u2019t all right for me to go outside and bark at\nthe top of my little voice. Ok, so my voice may not be quite as little and I\nmight not sing in tune, but why should these rights be given to birds and not\ndogs? It\u2019s bad enough when it\u2019s one rule for humans and another for dogs, but\nwhen even the birds have got more rights than we have there is something very\nwrong.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\nliked this bit too from 2014 when Shadow still had her third litter at home<\/p>\n\n\n\n My Mistress\nis in love with Chekov. To be fair she is in love with the others too, but\nearlier today he was crying. She hated seeing him upset and so she picked him\nup and cuddled him and then took him into the other room to see my Master and\nAndy and to look out of the window at the big wide world. It was surprising\nreally that she was so sympathetic towards him as earlier he had spat wormer\nall over my Mistress\u2019s clean clothes. She had to go and change.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This picture shows Chekov torturing himself by falling asleep right in front a piece of food.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Well, that’s all for now.
